Restorative Yoga for Monday Blues

You don't have to dislike your job to

feel the effects of the nagging feeling

of the Sunday afternoon/ Monday Blues.

School teachers know all too well the

"bewitching hour" (4pm) that kicks up

anxiety levels. This class is designed to

address this very common sensation.

Doing Restorative poses stimulates our

parasympathetic nervous system.

The parasympathetic system slows our

heart rate, dilates blood vessels,

increases digestive and glandular

secretions, and calming certain muscles.

By regularly putting our body in this

relaxed state it becomes less vulnerable

to stress-related disease.
